Many of our guests are well acquainted with our Bar Manager, Dom DelBene, who has been wowing guests in downtown Pittsburgh for over 34 years with his amazing recall of our guest’s drink preferences. Hardly a Saturday night goes by when I am not called to a table and told that although they have not visited us in years, that when stopping at the Bar for a pre-dinner cocktail, that Dom asked them if they wanted their “usual.” He is a special guy and I have been very lucky to be working with Dom since 1982 - when I hired him to work at Hillary’s in One Oxford Center, before bringing him along to be the guy behind The Carlton’s Bar.

Dom has had some serious health issues over the years, but he has always come back stronger than ever! Dom recently had a double heart bypass and two valve replacements. He will be away from The Carlton and recuperating for the next several weeks. In order to lend a helping hand, we are raffling off a Wine Dinner for 8 at The Carlton, a Jack Lambert Autographed Jersey, an Andrew McCutchen autographed jersey and a Marc Andre Fleury autographed jersey. All the proceeds go to Dom and his family to assist them during this difficult time. Tickets are $5 and the winning numbers are tied to the Pennsylvania Daily Lottery Drawing on September 4.
