Wine Tastings at The Priory Hotel

Our good friends at The Priory Hotel on Pittsburgh’s North Side are launching their first ever Summer Wine Tastings in the Courtyard. The inaugural event, “A Taste of Southern Italy,” is tomorrow, May 21 with Barsotti Wines at 6:00 p.m. You do not want to miss this first class event which entails samples of four unique Italian wines paired with light hors d’oeuvres from Priory Executive Chefs Michael Henney and Peter Phillipy. Trefethen Wine Dinner - May 18

Trefethen is a family vineyard that was founded by John Trefethen in 1973 on the old Eschol Ranch purchased by his parents. Click below to hear me speak on this Wine Dinner!

In 1975, David Whitehouse Jr., joined John and they’ve been producing great wines ever since. We have had many great and famous winemakers visit The Carlton, however, never have we had a winemaker that has been awarded with a “Best in the World” by the World Wine Olympics! The 1976 Trefethen Chardonnay received that award in the famous Paris competition! Come taste the most recent offerings of a winemaker who still pours his heart and soul into the terroir!
