A few months ago, I selected a Pietra Santa Merlot from my cellar. It had probably been a few years since I had tasted a Pietra Santa red wine. I had frequently consumed their Pinot Grigio - an outstanding starter that goes so well with a summer afternoon cookout - but had not visited their reds in quite some time! I was pleasantly amazed at the flavor and balance that the wine exhibited. It was technically a perfect Merlot. I reached out to the sales person (who also happens to be my son) with a text telling him how much I was enjoying this Merlot. His response was that the whole line was drinking terrific and that we should taste through all of their offerings and plan a Pietra Santa Wine Dinner! So here we are!
